SafeSpine SafeMind is a workplace safety program that combines musculoskeletal exercises with on-site coaching to prevent soft-tissue injuries before they occur.
What challenges does it tackle?
Reducing onsite accidents
These cost Australian businesses $61.2B a year.
Improving employee physical resilience
By reducing common injuries like sprains and strains, which make up 21% of workplace injuries.
Improving employee mental resilience and building capacity
By reducing stress and other mental health claims, which cost the Australian economy $10B annually.
Embedding long-term sustainable change
By assisting in building a ‘look out for a mate’ culture.
How it works
Our qualified professionals coach and educate your team to recognise your body’s warning signs that signal it’s time for a physical and mental reset to reduce soft tissue injuries by up to 89%. Delivered onsite, your team can put theory into action within their own work environment, which increases uptake and memorability while recruiting champions from within your team helps the change become part of the culture.

We understand every workplace is unique, so we use a 4-step approach to understand exactly how we can deliver the outcomes of reduced injuries, enhanced mental resilience and capacity and have the most impact to improve worksite culture.
1. Customisation
What we'll need from you
You’ll take part in an onsite organisational review and needs analysis with a dedicated Program Manager. They’ll ask these sort of questions:
- What’s your current accident level?
- What high-risk activities does your team undertake?
- How many team members are at risk of stress?
Your time needed: 1 hour from management only.
What happens behind the scenes.
Based on your answers, we build a custom SafeSpine™ SafeMind module, including providing you with promotional posters to build awareness before kick-off.
2. Implementation
What you’ll do.
You’ll receive a custom workshop in your worksite, where your team will be able to use their new skills. From within the group, we’ll recruit Team Leaders to hold the team accountable for daily practicing of their new skills.
Your time needed: 2.5 hours per 15 people.
What happens behind the scenes.
We set up the resources to help cement knowledge such as digital platforms and co-branded workbooks.
3. Daily Changes
What you’ll do.
Your Team Leaders will encourage everyone to spend 10 minutes each morning integrating the safe practices into their day. You’ll also receive regular health information updates, extending the learnings of the workshop.
Your time needed: 10 mins per day for all team members, 1 hour per week for Team Leaders.
What happens behind the scenes.
We train the Team Leaders on how to keep the team motivated, including giving access to the SafeSpine Leader App for ongoing information. We check in with regular reporting.
4. Sustainability
What you’ll do.
You’ll take part in an onsite refresher of the SafeSpine™ SafeMind content, discuss the changes the team’s noticed over the last few weeks and receive a toolbox of resources including SafeStart refresher talks to keep safe practices happening.
Your time needed: Refresher workshops as required.
What happens behind the scenes.
We provide you with a report of the key metrics and results we’ve measured across the program duration, which can be used as a base for future programs.
Are you ready to build a healthier business?
